April 7, 2024 - Ladakh Heart Foundation, and Druk Padma Karpo School joined forces to commemorate World Health Day 2024 with a series of impactful events aimed at promoting health awareness and education in the Leh region.
World Health Day, observed annually on April 7th, serves as a global platform to advocate for health equity and highlight pressing health issues facing communities worldwide. This year, the theme "My Health, My Right" underscored the fundamental importance of ensuring that every individual has access to essential healthcare services and information.
To mark the occasion, a special awareness workshop was organized at Druk Padma Karpo School. Dr. Nordan Otzer delivered an insightful speech on the significance of adopting a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Otzer emphasized the importance of nutrition and encouraged students to prioritize wholesome foods over junk food to maintain a healthy body and mind.
