March 30, 2024, a significant health awareness workshop was conducted at Govt Middle School, Samkar. The event, organized by the Ladakh Heart Foundation in collaboration with the Health Department, Leh, aimed to address critical health issues prevalent in the region.

They emphasized the alarming rise of diseases such as Cancer, Diabetes, and heart disease in Ladakh, attributing them largely to unhealthy diets and sedentary lifestyles. The workshop underscored the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle practices and dietary habits among students to foster a healthier society.
